GreatGold News – The GreatGold.FM music stream is destined to be active again soon. The audio streaming voice of GreatGold Internet Radio as GreatGold.FM was officially silenced January 8th, 2024 following a paperwork mix-up during the annual registration renewal process. As a result, the GreatGold.FM official registration became expired and it has been in limbo for nearly two years without us being able to renew GreatGold.FM until now. The good news is that the complicated SNAFU regarding legal use of the FM domain name TLD has been cleared up and it is ours to legally own, promote, advertise and use again. This means that now if you enter GreatGold.FM into your browser it will take you to our current parent GreatGoldMusic.com website.
This development allows us to return to the music streaming commitment we established in 2008 as GreatGold.FM, so we are gearing up behind the scenes to do so. However, the process will require time to upload thousands of music files, as well as custom designed images and illustrations of music artists, singers and bands, artwork, etc. It also requires programing the music playlists into the streaming platform software that results into the audio stream you hear and artwork you see when tuning our stream in on your smart phone, desktop computer, laptop or other music playing device. So, it may take days or weeks before all is ready again. Please be patient, and keep a good feeling, knowing that you aren’t too far away, again, from the super experience a lot of us used to feel listening to the Funtimes of GreatGold Classic Rock Hits, Pop Oldies, Favorites, Wannabees, and More! THE MUSIC HEARD on GreatGold Internet Radio is curated, cataloged, processed into digital for listening on the internet, researched, programmed, presented, and announced by Gary W. Morgan, a more than 35-year plus radio veteran, professional over-the-air broadcaster, now doing internet radio since 2008.
Around the time affiliation with the GreatGold.FM TLD URL was dropped, Gary had been experiencing some concerning health issues, sapping his strength, and limiting his usual go-gettum, do it now attitude. So, he, took the loss of the GreatGold.FM domain name to be an opportunity to take some time off, to slow down, to recuperate and enjoy his retirement for a couple of years without daily maintaining the music stream. Now that his better-looking health picture and GreatGold.FM registration availability pleasantly coincide he is more than ready to once again take on the happy responsibility of maintaining and programming the GreatGold.FM Music Stream.
