GREATGOLD NEWS – When Charlie Watts (pic-left) passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, it was unclear if The Rolling Stones still planned on embarking on their “No Filter” U.S. tour. Watts had already pulled out of the tour when undergoing heart surgery. News reports indicate the show will go on because Watts’ bandmates believe that’s what the drummer would have wanted. And they plan to honor him onstage.
The music world lost another giant when legendary Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts passed on at 80. Charlie Watts propelled THE ROLLING STONES for more than a half-century helping to make the iconic band an irreplaceable part of rock and roll history. Charlie was a member of the Stones for 58 years, joining in January 1963 and remaining a member until his death in 2021.
The “No Filter” tour was supposed to take place last year but was postponed due to the COVID pandemic. It will go on with a substitute drummer arranged after 80-year-old Charlie Watts told his band buddies he would not be a part of the tour this year. The 13-date tour of live performances schedules the remaining Rolling Stones to traverse the country beginning in St. Louis on September 26th, 2021 and wrap up in Austin on November 20, 2021.
TICKETS, DATES, AVAILABILITIES and other information regarding tickets to the Rolling Stones upcoming concerts are available at TICKETMASTER.
