DURING THE MONTH OF AUGUST GreatGold.fm Internet Radio is spotlighting music artists who were born in August. One such artist is Bobby Hatfield of The Righteous Brothers, born August 10, 1940. Hatfield, who was born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, died in 2003. He and Bill Medley became “The Righteous Brothers” after a fan blurted out “that’s righteous” during their performance as “The Paramours” one night.
The name caught on and the duo soon became The Righteous Brothers on recordings. The rest became Rock and Roll History. The GreatGold mix includes many of the best Righteous Bros. songs, as well as 5 decades of hit music by other musical recording artists from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.
