GREATGOLD.FM (04/01/2017) – This April brings more than April Showers followed by May Flowers. It brings Special Attention to April born singers and musicians, plus, recognition to the annual ceremony honoring the latest inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The latter includes our tribute to the latest inductees by playing their songs more throughout the entire Inductee Ceremony Month of April, too.

April Spotlight Features April Born Music Stars and RockHall 2017 Inductees. The 32nd Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York for the third time. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2017 Induction Ceremony will again have its television premiere on HBO, and a radio broadcast on SiriusXM.

Artists are eligible for inclusion in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their first recording. The 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Performer Inductees were chosen by more than 900 voters, as well as the aggregate results of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s online fan vote.

The top five artists from the fan vote comprised the Fans’ Ballot that was tallied alongside the other ballots to determine the 2017 Inductees. Four of the winners of the Fans’ Ballot (ELO, Journey, Pearl Jam, and Yes) will be inducted as performers in 2017. Other 2017 performer inductees are Joan Baez and Tupac Shakur.

Nile Rodgers receives the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum Award for Musical Excellence. The award is made in recognition of his work with the disco era popular band called Chic and numerous other recording projects through the years. Nile Rodgers rocked beyond the boundaries of disco with guitar riffs fundamental to Hip-Hop, Rock and EDM.
